A timeline and technology
Hello class,
Today we are going to be looking at an example of a history time line. Then you will spilt into groups using your google docs program and make one of your own. If you have questions email me and let me know. You will be graded upon your ability to make the timeline on the website posted at the end of this post. Have fun and enjoy doing the time line.

Everyone has a laptop where is mine?
So I read an article today that talked about internet policies as well as every student and teacher being able to use a laptop in the classroom. I am glad the their are AUP's out there which are regulations on how the computer and in particular how the internet should be used. I know this is all benefical and in reality would be sweet. But I am going to be a Debbie downer and ask the question how would every student and teacher get a laptop? Who would have to pay for them and then repairs for those computers? What about those families who can't afford to buy a laptop let alone food?
Those are just some of my gut reaction. I think the privelege of having a laptop for everyone is very idealistic but I am not sure on how well it would work out. I can see the system backfiring with students becoming distracted and not treating the laptop well because it is not theirs and if it is then why not play games? I do not know any thoughts?
